Putting on the Bridle

First the horse has to be groomed. Special attention should be placed to the areas where the horse sweats the most and where the saddle and the bridle are placed to prevent rubbing spots through dirt on the top-coat. Second, the horse is saddled. Make sure to find the right fitting spot on the horse's back. Third, place the bridle on the horse's face. Take the bridle into the right hand, lift it onto the horse's face and place the snaffle-bit into the horse's mouth. Adjust ears and forelock and then close the bridle. Make sure that the bridle is not tied to close because this would cause pain for the horse. Also, don't leave it too lose, because the bridle might shift when you use the reins to guide your horse. Pay attention to the wrinkles at the mounth courners for the right fit.
